Some hide in bottles to drink away fears,
Others in bedrooms to drown in their tears,
Some run away to the "sunnier" side,
A few use a smile their worries to hide.
A headache, an ulcer, too thin or too fat,
These are the children that fear begat.
Some think a smoke screen will camouflage fear,
Others take pills when trouble is near.
To many religion doth offer a shield
When fear and frustration may push them to yield.
One thing we all share in this moment called life,
We try to retreat from the worry and strife,
No one is exempt from the wish to be free
From trouble and fear and anxiety.
