Hello...

My grandfather ( of German descent ) fought in WW1 to help free
his name of the anti - German prejudice in this country. A Meriden
citizen, of good standing... can I get a monument erected to him
as well ?

LOL

I assume your grandfather's name is on the WW1 monument and wasn't left off because of his ethnicity. Unless so many served they only included those who died. I've known about the Chatham Freeman situation for some years; including him where he was left out is long overdue. Oops, I forgot this is the hometown of Patsy "Proud to be White" Papandrea. Hope eighty percent of Meriden doesn't feel the way you do. I found your comment snide but then again I don't know what people mean when they use internet code like "LOL." I assume it means lots of laughs. Nothing funny in your statement I can see.

one thing about Papandrea i could never understand; why did Patsy get in trouble for sending it to one person when that one [offeneded] person sent it to so many??

but hey speaking of monuments.........why not move them to a place where we all can [safely] see who's name is or isn't on them?????

Last I looked it wasn't there, though I have his " Roll of Honor "
framed and on the wall beside me.

In any case, If the need to move the monuments puts them
downtown... I'm dead set against it.
