Although most people don't support the war, we still need to support the troops. You can do that in a personal way by going to www.anysoldier.com and learning how you can send packages to soldiers. There is a list of requests and many of the soldiers will write you back. You can also simply donate money. Take a look. It's a good opportunity to help people.

Hello...
Their Pay... the Bonus money... Education... free financial
help for education.... health care.... dental.... housing...food....
clothing... guns...bullets... body armour...
ALL taxpayer money. Makes no difference what you think about
the war. Payroll deduction knows no party, Republican or Democrat.
I think that we ARE supporting them.... with every paycheck.
Every day I go to work...every hour on the job...supports the
troops.
But some people just don't get it.
People that don't work... that don't pay taxes... THEY need to dig
into their pockets...give up their allowances...video games... lunch
money...beer money... cell phones...lol Do what YOU can to support
them.

I was talking about human beings and compassion. You are talking politics. I understand your concerns but I was just suggesting that a nice way to help another human being would be to send a package of goodies to a soldier. Maybe if you had a friend or family member serving, you might feel differently. Anyway, just a suggestion. Hey, enjoy the beautiful fall weather!

i'm sure many soldiers would argue about the medical treatment they are receiving - on OUR tax dollar. i'm sure even more would say something about their body armor WE supply, but as said previous 'some people just don't get it'
[what does lol mean]

Hello...
Lol = laughing out loud.
And I've seen a lot of programs dealing with the treatment of the
injured. Their getting excellent treatment from what I can see.
That News reporter that had his head damaged... remarkable
recovery. Those with him as well.
Personally... I have no problem with the quality and effectivness of
the medical community involved with those poor kids. Those who
going all out in their treatment... we should be proud of them.
The outrage... is they are still getting blown up in a Civil War that
seems endless.
So... NOT a " lol " here. Just plain saddened
