What would you do with....

So I wanted to ask to see the responses; what would you do if you suddenly had an unexpected $500.00.

Let's say you opened up your front door to leave your house today and there was an envelope with $500.00 in it - what would you do with it?

I just checked my front door and there was no envelope....
If there was, my first impulse would be to blow it on bizarre and useless items. Once my brain kicked in, I'd realize that I'd have to use the money for shocks and a sway bar for my Jeep.
But the next $500 would DEFINITELY be for bizarre and useless items!

What would I do with that much money....well....did someone drop/lose it, or just lieve it for me to find?
With my luck it would be conterfiet...and I would be in a lot of trouble for trying to spend it.:(

OK, so let's say it's not lost money as I know some folks would try to find the rightful owner and at the same time let's suppose it's not counterfeit.

In my scenario here I am suggesting that someone anonymously left $500.00 in an envelope in your front door for you to do anything you wish.

What would you do with the money?

Well let's see, I have a truck and car that need repairs. A part would go to my church or other charity.

Hello...

$ 500.00 = Gasoline

That would keep the gas tank in my car full for about 5 months (routine
travel )- not taking a vacation to Maine of Pennsylvania those months.

Sad isn't it. Not even a half of a year !!!

While I could use the money for all sorts of stuff, finding myself with $500 to spend right now I would send it in to Noah's Ark of Hope.

I would either save it for college or donate it to an organization like Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life threatening illnesses and their families in Maine. I would put the money away for college or for useful things and only spend it when i need it. But I would give some to The Arthritis Foundation and some to The Breast Cancer Foundation

...after ensuring no one was to claim the $$, i would shamelessly spend it on myself, friends and family.

I would use it to pay the increase in my house taxes here in Meriden; that would leave me with one hundred dollars; probably would spend that on groceries, take my kids out to eat, maybe some plants for my garden.
