What happened to the Petit family is aweful. It was every families worst nightmare.
There has been talk of the family house being razed and a memorial park being placed in the place of the original home.
I think that is a terrible idea. I don't live next to the petit home but if I did I sure wouldn't want the constant reminder of that nasty crime by looking at a vacant lot with a memorial park. I'm not saying forget about what happened, but there has to be a better way to remember the family then to convert thier property into a memorial.
How would that effect the property value of the neighborhood? Would you want to buy a house next to a memorial for three murdered women?
Raze the house and build a new one.
