Hello...

Go to Google and type in All Day Kindergarten and the first response
is a study done on the subject with opinions on both sides of the
debate.

Now read the conclusion at the bottom of the page.

Then ask yourself why Meriden taxpayers have to spend one dime
on this subject.

IF Meriden had a surplus of savings.... perhaps.... BUT... but with tax
increase that's got me looking to move ( along with others I suspect )
this project is irresponsible at the least. TYPICAL of Meriden's leadership.

I put 2 children through school in Meriden, both College graduates and
survived half day Kindergarten (and pre -school ). Their should be more
concern with keeping kids IN High School and less about forcing them in
where the don't have a choice.

My opinion on the debate is this.... I see full day kindergarten as
DAY CARE so parents can work without interruption as the prime
motivation behind this plan. Day care at the Taxpayers expense.
Funny...it's always about money.

Concerns about the kids.... that's the bait for the council.... an It
seems they too kit... hook line and sinker.
