Just a question but has anyone here ever sent an email to any of the state reps (senate or house)?
I have sent several to all representing Meriden and none ever responded.

I emailed all four of our Meriden state legislators a few weeks ago in regards to the cuts made to low income housing that will cause rents to triple in some cases. Now these are all Democrats, supposedly the party that represents the people, meaning not just the fabulously wealthy. None of them bothered to answer. Did have some fun with the representative from the East side; you know, the sly old fox who has time to send pictures of hot air balloons to the Record Journal's nature section asking if anyone can identify the "bird" in the picture. Forgot his name at the moment. Anyways, I pointed out he has time to send all these hot air jokes to the paper and I hoped he could take the time to answer my email, tear himself away from his busy schedule. I also took the time to email both chairs of the housing committee at the state legislature over the same issue - neither of them answered either.

Hello...
I have mailed brief letters to Senator Dodd... to Lieberman ... nothing
long or drawn out and for the price a stamp. Each time I have recieved
a response. I don't think E-Mail works but I can say conventional mail
is answered through their offices.
Also works with Blumenthal as well. He responded with a hand written
response.

Liberman responded to email that I sent as did the attorney general. I am more concerned about the lack of response from the elected officials representing Meriden, how do they vote on issues if they don't communicate with the people that elected them.
