When there are rainouts that are unnecassary is one thing but when there are people that come to play that are out of towners and there is nothing on the hotline stating that the games are cancelled, ex-July 5, 2007, there is a problem. The fields were never touched and on the hotline it says that all games are being played. With gas prices these days, who really wants to travel went it is not necessary?!

I feel your pain... I to had a game that night and went to the field (CP1) only to see the field was trashed. THe lawn was not mowed and the field was under water from days before. THe phone message was not updated (since Monday, this was THursday). Our team had people driving in from work from all over the state due to the message not being updated. We are in a playoff hunt and did not want to take a forfiet should one of the umps have show up. CP1 had almost 15 or so cars sitting in the rain to hear something.

This is frustrating for all teams. Multiple people should have access to that line and someone should be updating it daily. MASA in my opinion does a great job overall but a situation like that is laziness. THink about the 100 or so people that affects each hour for every field throughout the town.

Please remember why you volunteered or got involved. It is because you enjoy the sport and being out in the public sharing time with people who also like the game. It only takes a few seconds to act and follow through. It takes a whole day and night for everyone to silently appreciate your (MASA) hard work. Thanks.
