With pictures of my - ahem - Liberty.

Originally purchased as winter transportation so I could retire my daily driver to the garage during the wintry season, life has seen fit to make it my daily driver after all. Oh well. What can I say, it is transportation.....although I wish it were a little better on gas.

Never one to leave well enough alone, I installed a Gibson exhaust. It was cheap - something like $275 delivered (and ultimaely installed!), which makes it hands-down the biggest bargain modification I have ever encountered. The joke is that it made the Liberty sound like my friend's stock Charger SRT8. We really laughed at this one - Here is a 2.5 MB video (http://mysunforums.com/content/RJ/content/myrj/ccc/pics/liberty/Jeep-clownin.wmv) of the two together, they really do sound a lot alike!

Nice looking ride. Anyone here rebuild any old bikes? I am thinking of getting one for that purpose but my mechanical ability would scare the owners of a wheel barrow :)

I am the same way when it comes to mechanical inclination - I have none. :D

I honestly have never let myself get into bikes because I never really had much experience riding them, and my instincts tell me that my lack of control + bike = bad things. :D

A friend just picked up one of those mini-superbikes and says that he has a blast on it, but all I see is the potential for road rash and regret. That mini bike will still top 50 mph, and it's not the most stable thing I've seen, so all I see is a recipe for disaster. http://www.ziplink.net/~ctroiane/pics/smiles/cmt.gif

I recently gave away a 1400 cc V-twin Suzuki Intruder because of ONE [1] $1000 carb down in Ormand Hill at Bike Week 2008 ['94 model had rubber-rot but I luv'd dat bike]
So, Start w/ rebuilding a Moped [ worth more than a $10,000 Shovel-Head] :D
ps: CMT , Garage that beauty... it's obsolete now w/ GAS at $5.00 per,,,later sell it to Jay Leno's inheriters

I didn't think this was about bikes only cars. I find working on the older bikes easier then cars or trucks. I've 4 older HDs in various states of rebuild. It all has to do with funds for parts. 1 is a 69 65cc single lung kick start on the left side forward with 2 white saddle bags. I also have a early, I think WWII Mayfield girls bicycle in need of restoration. It's complete.
As far as learning to ride call any community college the offer a MSF course.

Here's mine. My next mod is going to be the exhaust, I'm just having a hard time trying to decide which one I want. I dont want anything too loud in the truck because my wife and kids are in there a lot, but I want a nice rumble outside. I also put on a K&N CAI and that gave it a nice rumble when you ger around 2500-3000 RPM. But yeah the gas is killer, I have the V8 4.7. We actually had a liberty that looked identical to yours but traded it in for a Durango with a 5.7 Hemi. Talk about gas mileage.
