Web slingers off to Stan Lee and Marvel Comics for bringing an action packed, visually stunning "Spiderman 3" to the silver screen. This movie takes you on a web ride like no other - emotionally and visually. Unlike many movies based on a comic book, "Spiderman 3" develops characters that have the same human foilables as the rest of us - radioactive spider bite or not! Peter Parker can be an insensitive idiot when it comes to dealing with his long time love, MJ. He has problems with his best friend, the least of which is that Harry would like to kill him. He still feels guilt over the death of his Uncle Ben and he makes mistakes. We can identify with Peter. He is an everyman that just happens to have super human abilities. On the flip side, he has to deal with a couple of new adversaries, the Sandman, Venom, and his own ego. And true to form, the villains are not all bad. Evil, yes. Destructive, yes. But they also have a human side that we can identify with. By the way, the way, if you liked the sand effects in the movie "The Mummy", you will love what they do in this film with the Sandman character. The special effects are the wow factor that take the viewer swinging on wild ride and it is the characters and their development that really draw you in and keep you hooked on the movie.
