Never mind the Home Depot's and Lowes, if you want some hardware check out Church & Morse for excellent customer service. There are not too many localy owned stores left in the city of Meriden so we should support what we have.

I am not associated in anyway with the store only that I go there as a very satisfied customer.

I certainly agree with you about Church and Morse - my family have been customers there for over 75 years - they always have what you need and if not can have it in a day or less.
And you do not have to roam around aimlessly trying to find something, they know where everything instantly.
