Thanks for the heads up.
Did anyone tell Choate? I rode by there this morning and one of their employees was driving a tractor down the sidewalk blowing all the leaves into the street.

How does one report a violation?

So it is possible that the workers on the grounds at Choate were blowing the leaves to the curb so that a private company with a leaf vacuum could come by to pull them up.

I believe that is allowed for a short period of time (e.g. 24 hours).

Now, if they are still there over the weekend and / or they get picked up freestanding like that from public works then that is something I'd like pictures or a short video of.

You can report a violation of any ordinance to any member of the Town Council - I believe that they all are on the ordinance committee. The easiest way to do that and make it a part of public record is to mention it during question and answer at the next town council meeting - this Tuesday the 24th.

That way, if you need to follow up on it because you were not satisfied with the action (or perhaps total lack of action) you can at least refer back to it as being on the public record.

Don't get your hopes up too high - I don't see many of these ordinances being enforced which is why for the people that are fully aware of them don't really care about breaking them. You'll always have a majority that are unaware of them (after all - where are they available?) but there are those that know better and could care less.

I can't argue with them. If the people that put them on the books aren't going to be proactively concerned with finding ways to get them properly enforced then why should Joe Citizen?
