To whomever in the Wallingford Democratic party thinks robo-calling registered democrat voters is a good idea, you're wrong. You just annoy the crap out of us. At least window salesmen are trying to make a living.

Not putting up a candidate to run against Mayor Dickinson is your problem, not mine, and is a testament to the mismanagement and incompetence of the local democratic party.

I guess you guys finally figured out that when you dont run a mayoral candidate, lots of registered democrats are gonna stay home and not vote at all, because you gave them no reason to show up. This will hurt the other candidates on the democratic slate. The rest of us figured this out a long time ago. It should have been obvious.

And whomever said the Dinatales own both parties is town must be right. The robocall was "endorsed" by Mario.

You have been blocked now, so I wont be bothered by your rings anymore. You would be better off spending your money on an attractive retirement incentive for the mayor for life, maybe a summer place in Nantucket or a condo in Hilton Head.

Good luck in 2012.

I thought that when I signed up on the 'do not call' list, I was going to be free of the annoying calls from people trying to sell vinyl siding and the like. For the most part that has worked, but now, and I don't think I'm alone in this, there are the 'surveys'!
What ever happened to privacy?
If I don't want to listen to some clown trying to sell lawn care, siding or whatever, I most certainly do not want to hear about how great some politico is or what he/she is going to do for the town.
I read the paper. I've done the research. I know when election day is!
I also get the flyers in the mail. That's not a problem. I have to go to the mail box anyway, and I can send their message to the appropriate container to be picked up on Friday.
By the way. Have you ever recieved a robo call you can't hang up on? That just p***es me off no end!!!
A 'Do Not Call List' is just that! DO NOT CALL!!!

Since the Do Not Call list went national, I have found it to be less effective.

I use a program called Phone Tray Free (http://www.phonetray.com/ptfree_download.htm) to screen may calls. Once you enter a number, it gets zapped whenever they try to call you again. They get the standard "number not in service" tones, or you can customize with a more offensive message if you choose. You can assign different messages to different numbers.

It also works on annoying political robocallers and persistent professional fundraisers like NEOA, and your strange Uncle Fester, if you want.

There are other similar devices and programs out there.

I can understand why people surrender their land lines and rely solely on cellphones.
