On May 8, the Record-Journal reported that Wallingford Councilman Vincenzo DiNatale missed 3 of 27 regular meetings and 14 of 23 special meetings, and arrived late to 10 regular meetings and 6 special meetings. Mr. DiNatale rationalized his absenteeism based on prioritizing his family responsibilities over his role as Councilman, and that these priorities impact his ability to attend all Council meetings. Yet, he still accepts the same salary as his colleagues. I do not dispute Mr. DiNatale’s priorities; but he should not have run for re-election to the Council if his personal priorities consistently interfere with his public responsibility.
"VOTE NO" on Vincenzo.

I agree. Unfortunately his father (Mario) controls the Wallingford Democratic Party. Without him, they wouldn't have a place to meet. I have commented about DiNatale's absenteeism previously but it didn't seem like anyone else cared. I am glad to see that someone else believes that our "representatives" should "represent".
Once again, my selections for Council are (in alphabetical order) Cervoni, Fishbein, Reynolds and Sullivan. That is all.

Let's not forget that his Uncle Joe wields tremendous power in the Republican Party as well; so he is covered on both sides of the aisle...

The Record Journal editorial page seemed to give the nod to the incumbents and Harwood.

No they didn't. Obviously your reading and comprehension skills need improvement.
They wrote (about the full council ticket that is made up of FIFTEEN CANDIDATES that, "...while many of them have worked very hard during their tenure (whether brief or extended) we would particularly recommend [Harwood]..." and then it goes on to say, "[t]here are other well-known and deserving candidates on the ballot, of course, many of whom would serve the town well if elected. Voters may choose any nine of them."
HOW do you interpret this as an endorsement of the incumbents?
Aren't you one of the ones who advocates that they are informed as to the Charter and are going to vote "Yes"? Figures. Now I know why... (Reading and Comprehension Problems)
