Today I washttp://7towntv.org/images/WallingfordPage/FPQ_sm.png Freeman Penny Quinn,1st the Free Speech Ambassador of Wallingford. At Celebrate Wallingford (http://www.celebratewallingford.com/), I tried to create awareness among the citizens of Wallingford that they have a TV station to use to express their views, share their talents and to create a sense of community.

Families with young children were encouraged to go to the station on Center St. to make a Holiday Greeting and in the fun of that have the making of TV demystified. One young future producer came by the station and was excited to learn that the station existed and that he, Like all of you, could be a part of it.

I spoke with many volunteers today. I hope I encouraged a few of you to stop by the TV station to make a holiday greeting. A call to the station could make this happen. Volunteers were encouraged to think about how they could make TV about what they are passionate about. Maybe the swim team at the Y or the Scouts selling pumpkins or QU Trail blazers will give it some thought because a large blue penguin spoke to them about Free Speech being about building community.

I also shared with folks that already shop via the Internet how they could help at no cost to them the station's mission. www.wpaa.tv (http://7towntv.org/TV_Wallingford.html) eco bags were given to those committing to becoming a friend of WPAA Community Building TV.

One needs to be passionate to put on a big blue bird like suit and talk to strangers. I am passionate about the 1st Amendment. So I put on a costume today for fun, fund-raising and my gratitude for the 1st Amendment. http://7towntv.org/images/First-Amendment.png

You have a TV station and it only has value if you use it for building community. Community Building TV is what is possible when people share their ideas, talents and dreams. It was nice meeting many of you. Thanks for being part of my Celebration of Wallingford.
