I would like to thank all the people that turn out to the Memorial Day Parade in Wallingford and show support to the many participants by clapping and cheering. I understand this day is for remembering those that gave thier lives for this country and also to those that are in harms way today. Those people deserve our gratitude and recognition.
The parade also has other participants such as Little League players, girl and boy scouts, the Wallingford Police and Fire Departments and other volunteer organizations. It's nice to hear clapping and cheers for these participants as well. I've been in the parade a few times representing different organizations and the support is greatly appreciated. A special thanks to the crowd on North Main Street near High Street. Your area is the loudest.
