even I pretended to enjoy xmas when my kids were small. if you want to pretend, a good way is xmas in the park. Hubbard park- tuesday 4-6pm. Santa, chestnuts, hot cocoa and songs from school kids. as long as you refrain from shaking any politicians hands, you can't go wrong. And... if you must shake- bring purell.
