Every year the Public works collect the leaves from town residents, what do they do with all those leaves, take them to the town recycling center where a company called green cycle creates compost for the following year. Which the town residents can buy from greencycle. The taxpayers pay for the recycling company to get their products that they turn around and charge us for the compost......part of the agreement is that they make compost available to the residents....this past year you could not get any compost without paying for it past August....they just stopped putting out.....if the town supplies the material then the town residents should receive free compost or compost at a reduced rate....I myself have bought 4 yards this year and about 6 yards last year. I think town residents should recveive a 50 percent discount on thier purchases.....
