The BOE is thinking of changing the C rule to restrict students athletes from their sports or activities for a semester if they're grade falls below a C and they don't show improvement.

Harsh? Fair? The student doesn't have to get a C back, they just have to show improvement, which is defined by the teacher.

I think they should be required to get the "C" back and maintain it for a marking period. My other comments on this can be found under "Story of the day Nov 22.

When I was in college I was asked by a coach if I would like to make some extra money. When I found out that it was to write papers for certain members of the basketball team...I declined. I did know others who took the bait.
