How many of you remember the time honored traditions of night before thanksgiving pep rallys that were more or less an excuse to line up cars decorated in school colors so that you could drive by the opposing schools and get pelted with eggs and paint? In the early seventies there was one so epic, that future rallys were banned. A photographer was injured by an egg, as was more than one cop. At least two police cars either had windows broken or drove into a pole in the centennial parkionglot due to egg covered windshields. not condoning that- but it's what happened. maybe it'll be in the 35 years ago today section this weekend. so don't use up all your eggs for pies and stuffing- you might need them for self defense tonight

Hello...
I recall those days with a grin.
Our Band use to " collect " those silver fire estinguishers from places
that we played at and charge them up with a ...special mixture of
foul smelling liquids.'
Then... a " drive By " at Platt.... the spouts directed towards the crowds
and WOSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...
It was fun untill we got stuck behind a car at the light by the bridge and
people in the car behind us... did not share in our...play. Fearing death
we retired from that sport.
If I recall it properly.... Cumberland Farms was going as far as not to sell
eggs to anyone under 18.
Car washes made out great though...lol
In any case...
Those were the days !!!!!
