Geez, he isn't even in office yet and his actions already show that he lied all through his campaign. But then again, who could really think (except for half the electorate) that there would be "change" when he picked Biden to be his running mate. Quite frankly, "change" would be just about anybody else. The fact of the matter is that he and Biden owe alot to special interest groups, entrenched Democrats and the terrorists that supported their campaign, and they will pay them off with jobs..., not becasue they deserve them but, because they e-e-e-e-earned them.

You've put it quite well. Don't expect any answers from the misguided or duped voters other then the usual rant and hatred, nothing of substance or meaning. Remember these are people who's math skills are so limited they continue to call a 4% difference a landslide. I'm looking forward to the excuses that are going to be put forth to keep the incumbents in place during the midterm elections or explain why they voted that way. Remember the democratic congress had an approval rating what almost 20% worse then Bush. If 4% is a landslide what's 20% to the bad. Oh it's the democrats so the figures are skewed and we independents just don't understand.

Like "Bomber" McCain wasnt in bed with any special interest groups (http://www.mccainslobbyists.com/)? and never hung around with terrorists like Gordon Liddy (http://www.nowpublic.com/world/john-mccains-bill-ayers-g-gordon-liddy) who actively advocated the murder of federal law enforcement officers? or the Iran-Contra (http://news.spreadit.org/mccain-iran-contra-scandal-link/) terrorists?

As opposed to George Bush who in 2004 barely won with less than 1% of the vote and proudly proclaimed a "mandate."

Bush staked his claim to a broad mandate and announced his top priorities at a post-election news conference, saying his 3.5 million vote victory had won him political capital that he would spend enacting his conservative agenda.

"I earned capital in this campaign, political capital, and now I intend to spend it," Bush told reporters. "It is my style."

I love the special "reality" of the Republican community. The only Republican "Man-date" belonged to Senator Larry Craig. Although Congressman Foley did have several "boy-dates."

You miss the point (as usual). This individual campaigned on a platform of "change". My point is that the only change that is going on is that which will be jingling in our pockets in a couple of years.

I notice that you refer to the other candidate as "Bomber" however, it does not appear to be out of admiration or appreciation for the service to our country that this person had undertaken and endured. So telling of someone who supports a candidate who would rather bomb his own country than to support it. If Chicago is any example of what Obama will bring to America, there will be more troops in our own streets than there are in Iraq.

The Change and Hope, was complete rhetoric that totally worked. At least, most Republicans acknowledge the Bush failures, but you never see that among the Democrats, just witness Meriden democrats sending the do nothing, but their own special interests State Delegation we send to Hartford.

While Flat and Always are crying with Oprah and the Gang during his speeches and running around all inspired, doing their lawn, washing the bathtub, cleaning the garage while screaming YES, WE CAN.

I am feeling much better of the direction we are heading in.

You miss the point (as usual). My reference to "Bomber" McCain has nothing to do with his military service. It has to do with his childish "Bomb Iran" Beach Boys song.

Your reference to Obama wanting to "bomb his own country" is absurd and detracts from any logic you may otherwise be attempting in your argument.

Obama isn't even president yet. Why don't you give him a chance to do something before you tear him apart?

Country First!

LOL. I only wish that "change" had something to do with "country". Unfortunately for all of us, with Obama it is more like "Democrats" First. It is already apparent that the words that were spoken were just that..., "words" whereas the actions speak oh so much louder.

Your response is incomprehensible and therefore irrefutable. Instead of ranting in vague generalities, why don't you provide us with something specific that you may disagree with. Otherwise you are just taking up space.

Or are you going through the "change?"

I was expecting some new faces in his cabinet but at this rate it will be filled with old school washington insiders, just like Biden.

"That depends on what your definition of change is..........gotcha"

I expect that Obama cabinet will change after 6 months....Obama is the one we voted in office not the cabinet. If Obama vision for the country cannot be completed by the first group of people he selected, then it onto to people who can see his vision and get it done. We still have to give the guy a chance. Let him take the oath of office get 100 days in office, then we will start to see if his selections were correct.

I am so sick and tired of the insults thrown at flatrat. Flatrat is probably one of the best posters on this forum.

You say, "And you miss the point as usual". No, you do not even make a point. All you do is throw out ridiculous, outlandish, and foolish thoughts!!

So, tell me, what point are you making with your lame, outlandish, foolish remarks about someone supporting a candidate who would rather bomb his own country than to support it??

Are you jealous and intimidated by flatrat?? Are you upset because flatrat is smarter than you??

what's the big deal about honoring McCaged for being in the service. He got a medal arlready didn't he? Hundreds of thousands have been in service also- no one deifies them. flatrat is a great poster- wallyworldite? not so much. I wish that moronic letter writer from wallyworld- karlon- would post here- then we'd REALLY have someone to make fun of-

I must have missed those memos, you know the one saying you wrote and spoke so well and the other that said we're not suppose to tease anyone.
Also under the constitution I have the "right" of free speech. Perhaps you don't feel I or anyone else you feel is beneath you to have the privilge to speak to you in such a manner. Oh well get over it. Have a nice day:)

Aparently nobody bothered to check to see what Ralph Nader had to say.
Now everybody's complaining about this and that and how the economy's tanked, when Nader and many other intelligent people have been saying this was going to happen for years!
Our government and big business were too busy making money to realize (or care) that what they were doing was wrong! It couldn't possibly work for any length of time. Eventually it was going to blow up in their faces! As long as the money was flowing, nobody in the government was willing to look at the future.
Well, my friends, the future is here, and it looks bleak!
All the so-called bailout plans are going to do nothing but perpetuate the current short term thinking that got us here into the first place!
If we, as Japan and other countries, had the guts to think beyond next week, we just might be the international economic power we once were!
