OK- 5:30 ish and I'm off to the polls to cast my vote for Obama.

That way I can be home with a nice meal, a couple bottles of red and a giant smile on my face as I watch him win.

I went this morning and attempted to vote, there had to be 100 people in line, I don't have all day to wait in line so I continued my way. I hope this isn't a problem all day and it keeps people away from voting...

Already voted for McCain. Gotta keep America in the hands of Americans.

Hello...

The lines were too long to vote before work so I'll leave early, pick up the
wife and go vote this afternoon.

CNN's " experts " along with most others were already calling it an Obama
landslide last night... but I'll feel much better knowing I voted for the man
who should be president.

My wife...who was undecided up till last night made up her mind when she
saw the MSNBC piece on a couple of Canadian Disc Jockeys playing a prank
call on Palin. That's what elections are all about. In you face... no respect
elections. Sad.

Nice to read TODAY that Palid did not abuse her authority... guess it was
safe to disclose that today....unlike Obama's illegal aunt...lol That one ...
was hitting below the belt... " we need a federal investigation..." lol

Ok... back to work.

I voted at 10:15 or so...There was a line, but it moved right along. My ballot was #995 registered on the optical scan voting machine...I asked if I was going to get a paper receipt and the elderly volunteer just looked at me, like I was crazy (he may be on to something).

When I walked up to get the ballot the woman behind the desk was asking everyone if they had signed in. We must be on the honor system as there were so many people milling about, someone could have walked up and said yes, and easily received another ballot.

Oh well, at least we aren't voting on the internet yet...I just wish someone would randomly count the paper ballots inside some of the boxes to see if they correlate somewhat to what the machine prints out, both in numbers of ballots and results...

Oh yeah, I voted for Bill Ayers, Rev. Wright, Luis Farrakhan, Colin Powell, Karl Marx, and all those other socialists, anarchists, and terrorists..Me and my comrades in Dixville Notch, NH.

The committee that was hand picked by Palin exonerated her. No surprise there. That's like Karl Rove finding Scooter Libby not guilty. The Bi-partisan committee originally empaneled by the legislature clearly concluded that she abused her authority.

She has great skills with a crowd. I think she will do well at the next Alaskan secessionist movement convention. Hey, maybe she can be president of Alaska in 2012!!! Maybe she can meet Sarkozy again. This time for real.

Drill Baby Drill!!

If I didn't show my license, I didn't think they would ask for it. You're right about the mild chaos.
I probably could have gotten another ballot.

St. John's was very orderly this morning. I waited for about 20 minutes. Not too bad, and totally worth it.

Random precincts across the state will be audited for exactly that purpose, to see if the numbers voted and the results match the machine totals.

I got to St. John's at 5:45 and was out by 6:15. There were maybe 30 people in front of me when I got there, but when I left, there had to be 100+ in back.

Hello...

I made to the Church on Bee Street after 2 pm.... no wait at all...
even got to talk to a few of the workers.

I had no problem but an elderly man ahead of me had his ballot
rejected a few times. At first it looked ok... but then somebody
noticed that he had marked in both yes.. and no on the first of
the two questions.

In closing... yes, I knew when I voted that " your guy " was going
to win. Twice before... with Gore and Kerry I did the same thing
and felt the remorse of being the looser.

This time I switched knowing I was backing a looser ( I watch MSNBC)
and tomorrow... along with almost HALF of the people in this Country
will feel that remorse once again.

It's NOT about picking a winner... not for me. I could have voted
for the candidate in MY party, but sometimes one has to vote one's
conscience. Obama is a nice guy...just like George Bush was a nice
guy. Lousy President.... but a nice guy.

As I said in another post... this country remains split and there will
be a lot of angry people tomorrow watching the Dems gloat. At
least there will be no " riots " in the streets.

But like those that Loved George Bush.... the Obama Honeymoon will
soon be over. Will America ever stop electing presidents on the basis of
... I like this guy ? I'd say no.

Ok...done.
