Tuesday this farce of an election with the 2 worst candidates in history will be over. It's getting boring just re-hashing the same things with different words. Up until the President elect really screws something up that we can all jump on the bandwagon again what should we discuss to keep annoying each other?

Assuming Obama becomes president ( and I dont assume anything) I cant wait for the Republicans to jump up and and down and make all sorts of noise and whine and cry and carry on and generally obstruct the president, like they did with Bill Clinton.
Of course with Clinton they couldn't make anything stick. And they wasted our tax dollars by impeaching him, which also failed. Imagine if they passed some Wall Street regulation during all that time they were impeaching Bubba.
Look to see this again. Like their 4 year cycle of election fraud, they are so predictable.
And Jim, John McCain is not the worst candidate ever, that would be his running mate Sarah Palin:
*In convo with Playbook, a top McCain adviser one-ups the priceless “diva” description, calling her “a whack job.” (http://www.politico.com/playbook/1008/playbook476.html)
She has also been described by McCain advisers as "ignorant on national and international issues."
But she has been great fun and has provided rich entertainment during what normally is a boring election cycle. And she has helped the ratings for Saturday Night Live.
One plus if McCain loses will mean we wont have to hear "My friends" again. Maybe he can go to Crawford and help George Bush clear some brush. Its hard work, you know.

Reading all these posts on all of the forum topics, I've noticed that most are disgusted by the so-called choices we have for the office of President of the United States. (POTUS)
If you are really all that upset by the neverending finger pointing and negative campaigning, vote for an independent candidate.
It's worth a shot since it's never been tried in recent memory.
What have we got to lose people?
There is a man out there, running for POTUS that has looked long and hard at the problems we are facing and has some real solutions! He has addressed the issues head on without bowing to the corporate media version of who should be POTUS.
He is sincere about his beliefs for this country and has not lowered himself to the racist pandering that only belongs on tabloid TV. (even if there)
You know who I'm talking about.....Ralph Nader. "www.votenader.org"
Tired of the Republican and Democrats?
There are only a few more days left to make your choice. Do you want more of the same? Or are you ready for a real "change"?
If he gets elected, I suspect there will be a huge buyout of underwear in Washington, D.C.!

I'm not in love with ANY politician. They all lie. They all steal. Some, like the republicans are just more despicable than the rest. Loiok at the latest old coot in alaska caught with his hans in the till. Not as bad as the toilet guy- an I do believe, that McCaged would be among the worst of all. But that designation- WORST OF ALL- would certainly have to go to the alchoholic, coke addled little george. A true moron. No matter what Richter thinks....

instead of sitting here getting frustrated or bored, why dont you get involved? Work for an independent candidate, or work on an issue, or reach out to one of your local or state level politicians...Volunteer at a local homeless shelter. You will get a chance to actual meet some of those unemployed slackers that are ruining America....You might be surprised at what you find.
Action can be much more rewarding than complaining.

Hello....
It would be much more... interesting to watch dems react to a McCain
upset than Republicans reacting to an already given victory by Obama.
Republicans will concede that their Party choice was not the best...
whereas an upset... WOW.... what would the dems say....
#1 WE lost because of RACIST white people
#2 It was fixed
#3 We lost because of RACIST white people
I would bet a good ammount money that the reaction to a McCain
LOSS would be less .... tramatic and violent ( you can read into that
what I mean) than the reaction to an Obama loss.
God... imagine what Opra would be saying on her show... and what
we would be hearing from Sharpton and his like. Actually, it would be a
worse a case scenario for Obama to loose. Nice situation WE have put
ourselves into, isn't it when one would have to be WORRIED about the
outcome of an election... as one would brace for the expected and or
pending violence as a result of a race inflamed jury verdict ???
I'm surprised the national Media hasn't touched this line of thought.
But then again...why would they ?
The Nationa Media has already fixed the vote...lol
Yes... a shocking upset ...a complete mis-read of poll numbers
resulting in a McCain Victory.... that would set race relations in
this country back to pre Civil War days and unleash a anger that
couldn't be measured by any poll.
It would be the Democrats that would react the more...violent...in
thought, word and deed to a loss tuesday.... than Republicans.
Ok... I've made my point.

I'll start this conversation. I'm an atheist. Born and brainwashed as catholic for several years until after much prodding on my part, my parents agreed that after a forced "confirmation" I could choose to attend or not. Since that day in 8th grade or so- I have only attended a church for a wedding or funeral. I don't mind going to watch- I mean if a tribe of headshrinkers invited me to watch, I'd go. I wouldn't have to participate, believe or even respect their ways- but I'd watch. I feel the same way about christian voodoo. I'll watch. I just won't kneel.

Flatrat I am involved with a politcal org that supports motorcyclists rights. Before you laugh in the 90's a federal law was passed that was problematic to bikers and we were told "to bad you can't do anything." 4 years later due to to the bikers activism the law was not just changed but repealed. We also donated thousands of gifts to the forgotten children at Christmas. The ones in group homes and foster care or protective custody until Perez threw us out of Hartford. 3 years ago Meriden opened it's heart to the kids and we are trying to rebuild it we start at Hubbard Park 1st Sunday in OCT. I always foster homeless animals (dogs) until they find permanent homes.
So I am involved. I really enjoy putting out my thought to make people think.
To end it I think we should have a third party and the Dems & Reps should each have to contribute 1/2 of the monies they would use on their own campaigns to get it started.

Jim that's great...and I fully support the third and fourth parties and I was dismayed when people like Ron Paul and Kucinich were not given bigger platforms.

This actually quite a scary post. It's asking/wondering if the supporters of a presidential candidate will become violent if their candidate loses and if they do how violent. Yet I did not see one supporter of that candidate come out to say this post was wrong. Well is it?

Jim N said this was a scary post.
There have been a few articles written about the "reason" Obama might lose. Some speak of the the "Bradley Effect". Where people say that they will vote for a black candidate in public, but then in the privacy of the voting booth, vote against him. It's not even confirmed that this is actually what happened during that election. Reguardless, there is also an article written by an Italian journalist named Erica Long. She writes that if there is an Obama loss, it will be there result of a rigged election. She state that "blood will run in the streets". It will be a Second Civil War.
Susan Estridge, lawyer and commentator, also wrote an article about Obama only losing at this point because he is black.
If Obama looses people are already lining up the excuses. Another stolen election. White people are racist. It can't possibly be that the polls are wrong or even more unimaginable, that people actually think Obama is wrong.
Hope everyone had a great Halloween!
