In her third attempt to answer "Just what does a Vice President do anyway?" Sarah Palin got it wrong again. In one of her rare press conferences, this time with a third grade, a student asked her what a Vice President does. Palin responded:
They’re in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom.
Not true Sarah, read the constitution. Now we all know why they wont let her answer any questions from the press, or hold a real press conference.
And there are new allegations that she billed the state of Alaska for travel expenses for her children, and failed to report those expenses as income.
And the RNC just financed a $150,000 shopping spree for new designer clothes for Sarah and the first dude. This exceeds John McCain's $5,000 per session makeup jobs. (Remember John Edwards being ridiculed for his $400 haircuts?)
Palin's presence has widely been seen by experts on both sides as dragging down the McCain campaign. Experts also agree that McCain's directionless campaign is dragging down Republican congressmen up for re-election.
WASHINGTON (AFP) – The popularity gap between Barack Obama and John McCain has doubled from seven percent earlier this month to 14 percent, according to the Pew Research Center's latest voters poll published Tuesday.
And this is bad. It will probably give the Dems a veto proof majority. In some ways that is good, but in other ways it is bad. Without a veto proof majority, the Dems would have to seek bipartisan support for their agenda. Consensus is good. Diversity of opinion is good. We saw what the Republicans did with a veto proof majority for 6 years and it wasnt pleasant.
Thanks Sarah...heck of a job.
