so... EVEN Colin Powell, with the blood of the Iraq war and his WMD speach still staining his hands, has endorsed Obama.
I guess he's on the road to redemption.
the end is in sight, McCaged fans. make some estimated tax payments, rapuda.
BillC, your man is going down.

Thanks for placing me on your favorites list alwaysright.
I don't support McCain. I feel Obama is the better choice of the two. I won't be voting for either. I already make estimated payments, which are more in one quarter than most pay in a year, yet I'm expected to pay more. Because you see, at 250k I'm rich and should help those with less money pay for their bills. I worked hard to get here, but I should be rewarded for that hard work by having my taxes raised for people that;
a) have a poor paying job
b) don't have the motivation to earn more
c) can't earn more due to the field they're in
d) are waiting for others to help
We need better education programs in this country so people can learn skills to earn more. I can handle paying for that, not tax relief.

I can't vote for a man whose association with terrorists, and the likes of Farrakhan, Jackson and Sharpton would not allow him to be a member of the Secret Service and yet they are charged with his protection. Who it is still rumored was not born in the US and therefore not eligible to be president. Who wants to take money from hardworking Americans and give it to lazy bums. It is very telling that instead of exhorting people to work he prefers that they sit and do nothing and take money from those who work. If this was the attitude of our forefathers this country would still be a colony of England. One sign of the end of a great civilization is when the government becomes the re-distributor of the wealth. I guess if Obama wins that will be the end of the America the millions who fought and died to defend over the years knew and their lives will have been shed in vain.

So Connecticut is the home of people who aren't able to think for themselves and only follow the hype the glamor and glitz of a public relations campaign. Because if people actually thought Obama would still be unknown McMain would still be below the radar and we would have 2 viable worthwhile Americans running. However these are the 2 we are stuck with so I'll back the man whose patriotism has been proved and never questioned and who I feel will put Americans first. I mean Obama wouldn't wear an American Flag lapel pin because it could offend other nations. To me that is the behavior of a traitor, someone who is not to be trusted with the future of the greatest nation in the world. Remember he wants to change it, to what? The worst. Probably as long as the lazy get to live off the backs of hardworking Americans. He's got his millions so what does he have to care about?

Jim
your posts are starting to sound like they are coming from someone who is off his meds.
Powell's endorsement of Obama is also a public repudiation of the unethical, hate mongering racist divisive lies and tactics that are emanating daily from the McCain campaign. I dont think Powell recognizes his party anymore.
If you stand in line at a Palin rally, it sounds like a Klu Klux Klan convention.
Mainstream Republicans are deserting the McCain campaign in droves, leaving behind only the vocal lunatic fringe of the far right. Its sad that this will be John McCain's legacy. I don't think he ever intended this.

Hello...
Connecticut has for most of my life Voted Democrat in Presidential
elections. I see No reason to think this year will be any different.
I will have some satisfaction in casting a ballot though.... even if
it's meaningless.
I can only hope that all the early press proclaiming Obama as our next
President drops his numbers and even's the race. A quick look back at
the pre election polling had Gore and Kerry in the lead and we all know
how that turned out... Republicans 2...Democrats 0

I think the polls are starting to affect the caged ones health. He looks palid.
Thinking it over, when they icked Palin it was like they decided just not to win. she looked good for them for a day or two-but her idiotic thoughts are getting the best of her now. Really not so much upstairs in that house!
Bill, you are right. your vote is meaningless.

Maybe Connecticut voters this year will be smart enough to see thru the hype ( change!!! What change?????) And tired enough of being robbed thru taxes so the wealth can be redistributed to those too lazy to work and vote in the Republican candidate.

I think Connecticut will continue to vote the same people back in office.
We're the hand out state and our reputation for that is well known.
With all this arguing about who's better to be President, the bums in Washington are loving the distraction. It keeps the heat off them.
The Senate and House of Reps are the real problem. They no longer represent us. Senators average about $169 K a year and they work less than any profession. Get full pension after one year.
They can't pass a simple bill without tacking on special interest group pork.
Chris Dodd is a classic example a career Politian that needs to be canned.

I am a 72 year old retired person who still works 25 hours a week to pay the taxes in the city of Meriden.
If we can get Obama in, I can quit my job.
I will be eligable for fuel assistance.
I will be eligable for food stamps.
I will be eligable for income assistance.
I will get a rebate check even if I pay taxes.
Why the heck am I still working????????

Vote Republican so you can continue to redistribute the money I earn to rich CEO's, corporate lobbyists, Halliburton executives, attorneys defending indicted Republicans, Sarah Palin's wardrobes, and John McCain's makeup artists....
Makes sense to me!
