The Departed...Wow

My friend Barb is a movie buff, and an organized crime buff. She recently saw "The Departed" and had this to say: "The Departed" is a phenomenal film. It is based on Whitey Bulger, a notorious Boston mobster. The film kept me on the edge of my seat with its twists and turns. I could tell at the end, the audience was both shocked and mesmerized by another Marting Scorese masterpiece.
Barb certainly gives this movie a two thumbs up and says if you can handle violence see this one before Academy Awards Night.

The Departed is the most overated film I have ever seen. WOW, what an ending, I could of came up with that. Plus the story is not original and not that far fetched. Good actors, good acting, sorry...I've seen better.

Well, The Departed did get best picture...and best director...and it was based on Whitey Bulger...a REAL Boston crime figure.

I haven't seen it yet, but I would like to see the original Internal Affairs that it is based on. Is it out on DVD yet? I will have to look for it on Netflix. :D

Yes, it is partially based on Internal Affairs. And, it is on dvd and available at Netflix.
