Who Else Almost Passed Out After Getting Their Electric Bill?

Holy cow! I know rates were increased and I know that we are lower compared to CL&P, but my electric bill skyrocketed! In May my bill was $68. In June my bill was $126 and my July bill was $275!! Now, ok, yes, the a/c was on, and so is our pool, but I was not expecting my rate to more than double. I can only imagine what my September bill will be . . .We have conserved a lot too. Maybe its because we actually didn't use their light bulbs?;) :D

your rate did not double.....your usage doubled.....you must have used about 2100 kw of power.....don't forget the average is based on 700 kw of power....you far exceeded the average.....your rate went up in May 2008 from 10 cents to almost 14 cents per kw. You paid for the bulbs...maybe try using them.........my post from july
Did anyone notice that Wallingford Electric rates jumped 30% since March 2008. Does anyone care? We cannot be to far behind CL&P and Northeast Utilities now:mad: :eek: :(
