Yes my friends.... it's just about time to take out the old leather mitt, scrape the snow off the driveway, then sit back in your recliner for some southern spring training.
YES, Pitchers and Catchers are reporting.... Football is over, UCONN Men are over, Hockey & Basketball really do not get interesting until playoff time, but just speaking about baseball around the office gets a jump into your step...
SPRING IS NEAR, the chalk will line the field, the bats will be swinging and our favorite teams will once again make us act like school children on a sunny afternoon.
The nice thing about spring (especially for Red Sox's fans) is everyone (including teams like Kansas City, Tampa Bay, Texas and others) still have hopes of a great season awaiting....
But let's face it... The Evil Empire (as we are referred to) has been a sleeping giant that is about to wake up... Make your comments now about Dice-K, and all the rest, but the Yankees got younger, still have the best hitting line up in the league, reacquired the prodical son and which will soon follow by the flame thrower known as the "ROCKET".
