I have had a HDTV for 2 yrs with an over the air OTA box/antennae pulling in free HDTV and looks very nice.
My brother in Meriden just got an HDTV and signed up for Comcast's Digital service $5/month that came with a Motorola Box. The thing is that all the channels look blocky and fuzzy. It was installed by a rep who attached component cables and set it to 1080i/480i.
I don't see any settings on his TV except normal-zoom-stretch (all settings look bad).
I don't think there are any HD programs on Comcast. Not even the channels I get HD in for free (61-30-8-3 etc) look good on his TV. Digital yes; HDTV no.
Next time over Im going to hook up my box and antennae using HDMI to see if there is a difference.
Anyone having the same thoughts ?
