Why would Wallingford Electric agree to fund $3,000.00 out of the energy fund to fund residential energy audits? Are there that many people in town that haven’t replaced all there bulbs with the free compact bulbs that the electric division has been pushing for the past couple of years. Did the Energy fund have nothing better to do with $3,000.00?
I am looking for the energy fund to pay for half of a solar installation, like the CT energy fund would do if I lived in Cheshire or Meriden. I asked Wallingford Electric about funding my solar project and the answer was NO that is not part of our funding programs.
Are the heating oil companies kicking in money for the training, after all most of the saving will not be on electricity but in OIL….Remember Wallingford is doing a great job in the conservation area…spring newsletter 2008, Wallingford saved the equal to 300 homes of electricity….so why is there a need to do audits if the people of Wallingford are doing their part.
Send me the $3,000.00 and will put it toward solar panels and help reduced my electric needs.
