First they cancel games for "graduation" and now for the fireworks? This league has become a waste of time.....it's no wonder why less teams are registering every year!!!!!

Gee, sorry you feel that way - graduation night had quite a few teams requesting the night off. Secondly, I am sure Platt High School, would have love to hear the screaming from a softball game during it's ceremony.
3rd of July - well it the City shot off fireworks, Lincoln was used as a shuttle area and maybe some people just wanted to kick back and enjoy the night.
I hope you enjoy playing in your new league next year.
But if it will make you feel better, MASA will not be taking requested nights off from any team next year. Show and play the game on your schedule or forfeit.

I hope this part of your reply is not true, as my team has greatly appreciated the ability to request certain dates off since we take an annual golf trip during the season that has to be scheduled before the MASA schedule is released. Needless to say this change would cause severe problems for us and more than likely result in a forfeit unless we got lucky with picking the date of our golf trip...and we're not that lucky. :D
As for no games the nights of graduation and the fireworks, I think the Board made the right call as these are most certainly 2 events that have mass appeal to members of the league.

all i can say is that as for our teams schedule ha who ever did it is odvisously looking out for his own team.. my team had all 815 games through june then all 615 games in the hot months.. its kinda nice to freeze my a$$ off and then sweat it out so that someone else can have nicer weather to be able to enjoy a game

The schedule was done by two people with no affliation to any team.
Because MASA allows for requested days off, the schedule had to be done manually. This at times does skew a schedule for a team or two, but no malice or favoritism is intended.

I personally think the league should go to one night per division. No requested days off, no specific times. You will know what day you are playing and will need to plan accordingly.
