This is So Simple that it deserves the Connecticut K.I.S.S. award.... get in your SUV's and visit ONE (1) Mayor / 1 counsel/ 1 BOE/ 1 Planning board ... at the base of Dead-Man's Hill [Wallingford - near BJ's/Walmart/Home Depot/ Rt5/Rt15] for the re-consolidated WLFD-MRDN City after 200 years [age of the horse'n buggy/LOCAL representation] ... to be refined with more ideals [before the Washington-Boston Megalotropolis State becomes reality] ;-} Flames alwayz welcome

I think he wants Meriden and Wallingford to become one town.
Meriden, Wallingford, Cheshire & Prospect were all Wallingford at one time (I guess that's the horse & buggy reference). Apparently Cheshire & Prospect aren't invited to join in his plan.

Consolidate, trim back like businesses do, streamline, layoff [ at least a Mayor] and everyone can damn well get a Horse n'Buggy to go to Megatroplis meetings 'cause only Cable gives you access to those meetings, life is too busy for that involvement, working too hard for to pay Taxes, Utilities, mortgage, revolving Credit...
send all flamez to SBCGlobal and the Cell-Tower Co.s ;-P

:o I know it's such a silly idea ! to save money but Hey! How about Meryxzford ,Silver Glen [sounds YUPPY], WaLLmere , besides WALDEN ? And, we can leave Cheshire as open space and not tax ye ole land owners. [Prospect? where is that?] BTW, where is those elected individuals? Hiding till after the budget hammer lowers? j/k again
