DeMarini making a new bat

The DeMarini Company has already discontinued the Black Steel & Raw Steel.
In the near future the White steel will be replaced by a new model coming out called the STEEL. Instead of having many different models of softball bats they will only have one steel singlewall. If you have a Black or Raw Steel and send it back more then likely you will get a white steel in replacement.

How come aluminum bats are used at all? Softball bats should be made of wood. Its all about contact not how much the bat can do for you. I have played my share of softball, started in 1980 and am currently active, and have come to realize that the substance used to manufacture bats is irrelevent if you can't hit.
