I'd be hard pressed to take trips around the world and live it up and forgoe the drugs. Who knows; maybe the partying would cure te cancer. Hope she makes it thru this tough time.

Every now and then you hear a story like this. I know plenty of people from Canada and Europe who find it really strange that people have to pay for medical treatments. They also tell me that most of the people are very happy that they have national healthcare. You can find these stories every now and then, but the horror stories here are considerably more prevalent here than in Canada or Europe. People are not forced into bankrupcy just because they can't pay for healthcare in Canada and most of Europe.
