Is that 425 horse power or 425 dollars a month in gas?

Probably both :)
Ground Up Restoration in Meriden just took delivery of the first Challenger in CT. The word is that the owner paid substantially over of sticker price for the car. A friend borrowed my camera gear this morning to see if they would let him take a few pictures, and here they are. I saw the guy driving it around town today at lunchtime, and I made the car from a mile away because I had recently been looking at pics of it off my camera. I have to say that the one aspect that really stood out as it approached was the prismatic orange lights in the grill. He was really babying the car, so there was no way to hear either the engine or the exhaust note, which is a shame.

Oh my God! that car is beautiful. Any idea what the actual sticker price is?

They could have cleaned up those rims a little before delivering.
The car had over 300 miles on it, so the owner had been driving it. If those brakes are anything like the ones on the Charger SRT-8, they produce a lot of dust even when not asked to clamp hard. I did not get the sticker on the car. :/

Yeah, thats a mopar thing. I have an 05 dakota and after about 3 or 4 weeks without a wash my front rims are pretty much black.

Heh. As long as they stop the vehicle right? Those Brembos are no joke - I have not had the chance to ride in a Challenger yet myself, but if they reverse thurst as hard as the Brembos in the Charger, it's an impressive feat. Neither car is particularly light, and that brake kit is enough to stop the car on a dime!
I want one. But then, who doesn't. :D

I HEARD Threw the grapevine that the first one bought in Meriden had a very low VIN NUMBER like 000007 and when it was known that the Vin was so low the dealer offerd to buy back the car for 120,000 dollars, after the original buyer bought it for 51,000 before he even got the car

Wow, $51,000 is about $15,000 less than what I thought the SRT would go for.
