Hey everybody, Michael J. Citak here, I wanted to let you know how the meeting went. I arrived to the WPAA Studios around 5:30pm and began setting up the set for the show. In case you didn't know my meetings are taped for tv, so that viewers at home can watch and feel like they are a part fo the group even if they can't make the meetings in person. So production wise, the show went smoothly. Unfortunately nobody showed up to discuss the Theatre Group, so thankfully I was glad I wrote some copy to read on air in the event that nobody showed up. I basically discussed what we were going to be doing, my aspirations for the future, my hopes for one day turning the Wallingford Theatre Group into a Non-Profit, and then talked about the different types of theatre games we can play. In closing of the show, I tried my hand at Improv, and really bombed in my opinion. I wish more people came because it's difficult to improv with yourself. After taping wrapped, I edited the footage down to a half hour, added some credits, and thanks, and headed home. Hopefully the episode will air soon. I'll post the schedule on here when i get it. If you'd like to join in on the meetings with me next time, I'll be taping segments at the WPAA Studio on May 21st from 7pm to 8pm. and if you'd like to discuss anything please email me at mikecitak@yahoo.com

Thanks for the update. Does your group have any connection to the Meriden Castle Craig Players? They have done a good job over the years. Looking forward to hearing more about what your group is doing.

hey happy, thanks for the reply. To answer your question, The Wallingford Theatre Group is not affiliated with the Meriden Castle Craig Players. My group is actively seeking members to join in on creating original theatre, as wel las play theatre games, so if you or any of your friends are interested in partaking, you are all more than welcomed to come down to the WPAA Channel 18 studios on May 21st. Hysetrical Sports will be doing their show that night, but I have use of the back space in the studio. So far, I'm the only member of my group, so members would def help.

you may want to see if you can find some of the folks that attempted development of an improv troupe last time: On name I remember are jason kulas - i think he is doing improv with folks in hartford area. This troupe did a gameshow format and had about 6 regular participants. The only wallingford resident in the bunch relocated. So I think you may want to join an existing troupe in CT and then use WPAA as a resource for some distribution...just a thought. Thanks for trying.

hello. while i appreciate the comment and suggestion, what i have created is an outlet to create original theatre and film works locally. I'm a scriptwriter, actor, director, and was looking to get others involved in the creation of works. The improv section of the show was a way to build audience participation, but it seems nobody in wallingford cares to participate. so here it stands.
