Time to get rid of Connecticut's pork-promoting politicians
Editor:

Congratulations, Connecticut! The 2008 Citizens Against Government Waste annual Pig Book is out and our fine Senators and Representatives to Washington brought us home $134,387,293 in pork.

Out of 535 members of Congress, only ten Representatives and five Senators did not introduce any pork, but that is enough to prove it actually is possible to elect a fiscally responsible politician. None of the fifteen are from Connecticut.

All of our oinkers should be voted out of office at the earliest opportunity.

David, you have it only half right because these ' pork bills ' are just the obvious expenditures. What about the cost of all these other ' feel good ' programs bills? Just about every time one of them open thier mouths in Hartford or Washington, it ends up where we pay more in taxes.

Speaking of which, did you read about the 30 million being spent on the earned income credit which the state wants to add to the federal amount?

Guess who pays for that?

Bill,
I only posted this writer's letter to this forum, nothing more. I'm glad that you responded, but since I'm just the messenger here, you may wish to direct your comments to the author of that letter.
Again, thank you for replying!
