Greenwich Coffee???

wha happened?

I would drive all the way from meriden for one of their iced coffees - best ice coffee ever! - It's all changed. And the coffee isn't the same, the whole place isn't the same.

the apparent real owner, who happens to be a lawyer stepped in and fired the backbone who made it Greenwich Coffee. Its all about the coffee!:confused: :confused: Everyone who really knew what was going on is LOST! The guy has a hardon for everyone else and ruined the amazing everything!!! No one knows why but he put his wife incharge. The coffee now sucks everything sucks. it still looks ok inside, but its dirty trashed, and the people who go in there now are lowlifes!?!?!!! I hear the old staff are coming back tho!!! but in a different place. Greenwich is dead to me. Please come back!!! you have a loyal customer sitting and waiting...

I haven't gone over there in a year - where to get a good coffee? - Dunkin Donuts is so inconsistent - and Starbucks coffee is so strong. Tho they do have good ice coffee. that's if that STarbucks isn't one of the 600 that are being closed. there are no good coffee shops!

Hey to all those in a state of coffee despair. Fear not or at least, not any longer.
The backbone behind the original Greenwich Coffee (not the lawyer ass & his bigger ass wife) IS BACK IN CHESHIRE. Can I get a mighty big "WOO-HOO"?!!
Look for Nick and all the rest of the crew at the NEW CHESHIRE COFFEE. Located at 210 Old Towne Road (corner of Route 10)in Cheshire.
Everything you had loved and craved (peanutbutter mocha frappe anyone?) is finally back and better. New, larger location with many, many parking spaces (right at a light, no more accidents waiting to happen), lovely outdoor patio seating and free WiFi.
Seriously, I know it's been a year plus but all of the loyal customers have not been forgotten. Nick came back to Cheshire for all of you - you all made that shop what it was and it just took one controlling, money hungry jerk to ruin it. No matter no how. Nick, Jason and all the rest of us are back in Cheshire. Come on by and say hello.

After dropping our dog off at Elite Clip to be groomed several weeks ago, my wife and I decided to walk over and give Cheshire Coffee a try. I guess our tastes in coffee differ from others on this board; we were disappointed in both the coffee and the pastries, and will stick with Panera in Meriden in the future...

so based on your assessment one would think that the post by WUZZLE was just a cheap ad......new member 1 post.....but it got you there....i would stick with panera also, great food and beverages......

I did post a comment about Cheshire Coffee which was in response to earlier postings regarding what had happened to Greenwich Coffee. It was not intended to be a "cheap add" although I can understand why some might read it that way. I was an employee at Greenwich for almost 3 years when, without all the details, things changed last January. My posting was simply an attempt to let some of the former customers know what they had been asking for the last year - What happened and where did we go? Yes I now work at Cheshire which may support your notion of my post being an add but it was more just, I thought, utilizing a web forum to relay information to those who had asked a specific question. So that my posts are not mistaken again, I will stop posting on this public site after this as I was not aware I was required to make multiple postings within a certain time frame for my post to be credible. My bad.
To add, for the couple who stopped in after bringing their dog to the groomer - thank you for trying Cheshire and I'm sorry you did not find it as enjoyable as I would have hoped. As with everything in life we all have our own opinion and individual tastes, I am sorry the shop was not to your taste.

The Cheshire Coffee House has great coffee and everything else but the BIG problem is that I get charged something different for the same things I buy! It seems to me that the girls they have there have no clue on what to charge. I would get the same thing almost everyday and I'd get charged a new price. A JOKE!! That's why I stopped going in there. Plus it's always hot as hell in there!!! All last summer the air was off when it was like 85-90 out!!! The doors open but you sweat to death if you sit in the back of the place!!! I told the girls working there to turn the AC on and they would lie and tell me that it was broken!!! Me and my friends got tired of hearing that excuse!!! Overall...They do have GREAT food! I just got tired of all the wacky prices and sweating to death!!! I hope that changed.
