I wrote this poem in 2002 after my older sister died...I still read it evryday
Twas ten years ago when we met,
When my family joined with hers.
She made me feel comfort in a home that wasn't mine.
She was an Angel in my eyes.
We grew closer and became friends.
We laughed and talked and shared secrets.
We helped eachother through rough patches of life.
She was an Angel in my eyes.
I always knew she was sick.
But she never let it get her down.
She was so strong, brave and courageous,
She was an Angel in my eyes.
Her health started getting worse-
the outlook wasn't too bright.
She fought even harder than before,
She wasn't ready to give up on life.
She was an Angel in my eyes.
Tragically, it was time for her to go.
She remained brave until the very end.
With her family by her side, say lay down
To Eternal Rest
She is an Angel in my Eyes.
Such a brave young woman,
She knew more about life than us all.
She knew the value of friends and family.
She is an Angel to us All.
