So Mr. Bush wants to send at least 20,000 more troops to Iraq?
What if the troops no longer believe his lies? I say they should be allowed to sit this one out.
In their place we can send the 62,000,000 people who voted for Bush and his lies in the last election!

If they would have me I would gladly serve my country again. Yes there are things that need to be done differently over there. Politics is not going to work we have been trying that for years. Even without the WMD what was going on over there should not be allowed. What we need is to face facts that the only way to straighten this out is by force and get everyone on the same team to come up with a plan and put enough people in there to get the job done.

The freedom we enjoy today came with a great price and if we keep letting these terrorist groups get there way then our freedom will be short lived. We need to finish the job in Iraq quickly then go after the rest of them.

You send mixed signals I for one do not believe the Iraq's want a democracy. This country never had a democracy and quite frankly they lack the will to start one. The factions between the ****tes and the Sunni's have been a long and simmering conflict. This is not going to change with the addition of 21,000.00 more troops. Bush is going to let his predocessor is going to have to resolve the problem. I guarantee you that before 2008 arrives we will be at war in Iran.

 This was posted in February 2007...
Just curious... Did the "Surge" work? Or is this war still a (can't say it) mess?

Well here is something posted today. Does this mean the war is coming to an end finally or is it just really starting.

Iraq PM declares 'final war' on Al-Qaeda

KARBALA, Iraq (AFP) - Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki declared "final war" on Al-Qaeda on Friday after dozens of people including a police chief were killed in bomb attacks blamed on the jihadists in Mosul city.

"We have formed an operations centre in Nineveh (province) for a final war against Al-Qaeda and the remnants of the former (Saddam Hussein) regime," Maliki told a gathering in the central shrine city of Karbala.

At least 35 people were killed and 217 wounded in a massive bomb attack Wednesday that obliterated a building and destroyed houses in Mosul, capital of Nineveh province.

A suicide bomber on Thursday killed provincial police chief Brigadier General Salah al-Juburi and other two other officers when they went to inspect the previous day's carnage.

What you fail to realize is that people don't respond to force by saying "Oh my god your right!" They respond to force with more force. Evidence of this is abundant: Isreal vs Palestine, Bloods vs Crypts, Kenya, Congo... Only when the people involved realize that by attacking others they are harming themselves do we find resolution.
In short: "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind."
