Years ago my Dad and I went out into the snow
--- to build a snowman, Dad and I,
What fun it was to pile it up and watch our snowman grow,
--- we both enjoyed it, Dad and I,
We gave him coal for mouth and eyes, a carrot for his nose,
--- we made him funny, Dad and I,
And as the days went by I grew to love his friendly pose,
--- we both admired him, Dad and I,
But then one day the sun was hot and he began to shrink,
--- we were alarmed then, Dad and I,
Before we knew it he had vanished, all we did was blink
--- to keep the tears back, Dad and I.
--- to build a snowman, Dad and I,
What fun it was to pile it up and watch our snowman grow,
--- we both enjoyed it, Dad and I,
We gave him coal for mouth and eyes, a carrot for his nose,

--- we both admired him, Dad and I,
But then one day the sun was hot and he began to shrink,
