The spunky snowbird sits
Precariously perched in the pine,
While winter wind whips and whirls and worries
The branches.

The spunky snowbird sits
Stubbornly sticking to his spot,
Defying the diabolical drafts and decides to
Take his chances.

Helen,

I like this poem/allegory. It says do your own thing, follow your dreams, and don’t let the winds of fashion or criticism sway you. Love the alliteration and rhyme.

Best,

Martin
