Snow Removal

Just curious to see what people think of the job Wallingford is doing in snow removal. I was out on the road around 2:00 today and it seems like nothing had been done yet. How is it around your area?

I can't speak for Wallingford, but what I experienced in Meriden at 4:30 was pretty decent, compared to what I experienced in the four hours it took me to get from Hartford to Meriden. The goofiest part of the drive though was the DOT radio station repeating that "currently there are no traffic delays reported in Greater Hartford" for the whole drive. That might explain why I only saw one plow in the southbound lane for the whole drive down I91.

The drive down south 91 was awful. I left Hartford at 11 and got home just at 3. I especially loved the long hill just before exit 19 southbound 91. So many tractor trailers just could not get up that hill. Not to mention all the bozos who could not figure out that they have 4-wheel DRIVE not 4-wheel STOP!


But I saw more Meriden snow plows than ever before and even my side street was plowed rather quickly.

Sounds like Meriden did a good job. As I was driving to work this morning on semi snow covered snow, I could not get over the number of people I saw shoveling their driveways right into the street leaving big piles. I wish The town could come by and push all the snow right back into the driveway.

Never mind shoveling it into the road, what about the snow plows plowing out a driveway right into the middle of the street! They leave a huge snow bank in the middle of the road. Jerks...

I was out delivering papers with my sister this morning as I will be filling in for her while she is away. There are a lot public walks that still have not been cleared when it snowed a week ago.

Hope I don't fall and get hurt while I am doing this. Thanks to our Law system and good lawyers.

Get off your lazy butt's and get you lazy kid's to work. OH that's right that might cause the kid's to report you.
