Sometimes I Ponder...

I sit by myself sometimes, and I ponder
What it would be like to endlessly wonder
Hopelessly, through time and space
Without anyone recognising my face.
*
Blankness through the mist of abnormality
Living forever, in eternal mortality
No air to breathe, no sights to be blinded
In a brightening darkness, that nobody minded.
*
Simply confounded, bemused by clarity
Dying effortlessly, in fleeting immortality
Shafted by a sound, that does not appear
Thirstily craving grief, hatred and fear.
*
No emotion to entrap me, engulf me with anxiety
Nothing to be afraid of, not the grimace of society
Not movement of life, or shiver of fatality
Can swiftly remove me, from Earth’s crushing reality.
