:p Yellow news , we know, this Grey journalism is getting old in this time and age. But, thank your for a semi-type BLOG forum ! [myrecordJOURNAL.com] Grey is the matter of fact that we don't know, don't believe [ either see/hear/READ] because we haven't had more than a slant/byline/Segway/teaser. I've always told my sons, Judge Not what you saw on TV or Print until you know all the facts.[did J.F.K really say that? LoL ]
Point is, theR-J here should have links to more info from their articles. And, my pet peave is , no links to the historical [sometime historically FUNNY& educational] Friday's "This Date...." [I hate Libraries and Microfiche] Thx, R-J , signed Rich@rRT5

I was/am not trying to "sabotage" your thread.
You complained about the lack of helpful links.
I offered one that I thought you might find useful.

Maybe what really got to me about your post was your statement about hating libraries and microfiche.
I absolutely love libraries.
Computers are amazing research tools, but I get the greatest pleasure from walking through rows upon rows of books, searching for titles and plucking them from the shelves. I love the rush of anticipation as I walk to a table and deposit a stack of books that I know will tell me what I want to know. It’s just up to me to dig in a start turning those pages.
Oh, the countless, rewarding hours I have spent hunkered down in those faux-leather, wing back chairs that are so popular in public libraries…
Something current may have sparked my interest and I would head off to the library, that most sacred of all public institutions. Once there, I might satisfy my curiosity immediately, or I might spend the day back-tracking a subject until I get the feeling the librarian wants to strangle me as I hand her yet another slip of paper requesting yet another reel of microfilm or sheet of microfiche.
Libraries are wonderful places. No computer monitor will ever replace the feel of a good book in my hands. No search engine can take the place of the satisfaction I get from searching volumes to find the answer the old-fashioned way. Googling’s great--quick and to the point. But, oh the little tidbits I pick up along the way when I let my mind loose in the library!
Do you like The Twilight Zone? One of my favorite episodes is “Time Enough At Last”. It’s the one where Burgess Meredith plays a bank teller with very thick glasses. He loves reading and apparently has very little use for his fellow man. He’s in the bank vault reading when the bomb gets dropped. Instead of mourning the loss of mankind, he heads off to the library where he can spend the rest of his life reading without being hassled by anyone. As he’s gleefully rushing up the steps he breaks his glasses. Tragic…
Yes, I love libraries.

Personally I have missed Unirac's stream of consciousness forum entries. They make sense to me, just in a different kind of way. Welcome back.
