View Full Version : Syria and North Korea Nuclear Deals
Recently Syria and North Korea were exposed to have a deal going with nuclear bombs. Israel destroyed the effort on Sept 6. However it speaks to a more pressing matter.
Iran and Syria both have nuclear aspirations. Iran and Russia are getting cozy and Syria and North Korea are allies.
Regarding the Middle East peace plan and meeting in Annapolis, Rice is trying to achieve with talk of a possible Palestinian state, Bush is reported to be in disagreement with her. Rice is at odds with Israel and Bush.
We are so focused on Iraq at this time, and pulling out our troops we are not even realizing the brewing nuclear issues with N.Korea, Syria and Iran. Will the American people believe these countries have nukes? Or will we be so gun shy as to not believe it, not commit military forces to stop them, and then realize our mistake only after CNN puts up the mushroom cloud picture under a red "Breaking New" headline?

Dont be surprised if all the talk is on invading Iran and we suddenly invade Syria in a surprise move. It is possible the President secretly believes Syria may has hid all Iraqs weapons of mass destruction along with being in co-hootes with Korea.
Korea has turned face a bit with it nuclear program but possibly not before it completed a possible goal of transfering technology or even a bomb or two to a mideast country.
Seperating U-235 from U-238 to acquire enriched uranium is a 1940's technology economically depressed Korea accomplished. Is the world so naive to assume oil rich Iran can't accomplish this soon. Iran aslo manufactures its own jet fighters.
The sad thing is that we ourselves have not been an honest and moral country when it come to world and our own affairs and thus lack the integrity to go around telling countries what they can and can not do. Had our country been more moral in the past, we would have more freindly countries backing us on these issues.
Russia would never back us and were never our freinds even in WW2 as they were the lesser of 2 evils at that time. I still feel a touch of Stalinism resides in that country.
If we had moral integrity we could not tell countries what to do. We don't want others to tell us to dump democracy right? Force us to embrace Communism? Yeah right. So why do we force democracy on others?
Speaking of 1940s technology, the M1 Garand rifle is from that era and its bullets still kill. So do simple 1940's a-bombs.
We need to learn to deal with clear threats, only those threats, in a clear and decisive way, and then leave. We go in, we remove the threat, and then leave. Like a well tuned Mike force.

Your really right Eds. Moral or not, we have no right to tell another country what it can do. Our country uses the term "with all means needed" meaning we may use nuclear weapons ourselves and no one is threatening us to abolish our nuclear technology.
You would think the world would be really on edge with our nuclear capability. After all, we are the only country to actually use nuclear force. Twice. We kick butt and I am proud to be an American. I say this with all the patriotic respect in the world: We really need to learn to cool it a bit with our "agenda".

Yes we need to concentrate on ourselves and the issue residing here in our country. Lets heat it up with our agenda fighting criminals, corruption, caring for our sick, educating our youth and making a strong economy.
