with all the talk of fixing up the downtown area and the great strides the town has made to date, it still baffles me that the coal silo's next to the train station are still standing, they looked as if they where ready to collapse some 35 years ago when i was a small boy growing up here and they hav'nt miracuasly changed for the better, the painted advertisments are from companys that have long folded or left town, why not open it up as free art space and have them painted with a mural, or turn them into giant planters and put oak trees in them so everybody coming through town would remember them, i know that might be a little far streching of the imagination, but i'm sure there could be a better use for them, or knock the eye sores down

I couldn't agree more. A mural would be lovely! While they're at it, can they get rid of the dozen or so satellite dishes on the corner of Route 5 and Center Street! ?! That is a real eye sore and definitely takes away from the beauty of downtown Wallingford.

I agree as well. There is nothing that says beauty like driving in a downtown area and seeing a bunch of satellites just sitting out, on that building. It is made worse do to the fact that there must be more than 10 of them!! WAY too many.

I also agree. There should be some kind of restrictions on satellite dishes. I know the building you refer too. Maybe we should Guiness, that must be a record for the most dishes on a building.
